There's power in ritual. And it’s a great way to start the day. Consider what’s involved in your morning routine: brushing your teeth, showering, eating breakfast. If you have children, you may be getting them ready, as well. Why do you do this? To prepare yourself for the day - but not just any day - a good day that will flow more easily because, well, because you’re ready! Imagine stating your desired goal for the day, and including this in your morning routine. It may be as simple as saying out loud or to your self ‘Today is going to be a great day!’ Or it may be a more focused intention such as ‘Today I will complete the financial review I began last week.’ Sometimes, an emotional intention can carry its affects in all areas of your life. ‘Today I will smile at everyone who comes my way.’ You might be surprised how easily it will be to communicate with that difficult family member, irate driver, or challenging coworker while wearing a smile on your face. Include a daily intention and see what happens to your day.
